WHAT FANTASTIC NEWS :Oilers Philip Broberg is back for the remaining Season……….

Prospect defenseman Philip Broberg is expected to join the Edmonton Oilers for their last three regular-season games against the San Jose Sharks, Arizona Coyotes, and Colorado Avalanche, giving fans of the franchise something to cheer about. The Oilers don’t have to make any roster changes in order to recall him because they have plenty of cap space available. After evaluating him, the team will decide whether to use Broberg in postseason play.

With 12 points (3 goals, 9 assists) in his previous eight games, Broberg is among the top eight AHL defensemen in terms of points per game. His recent play in the AHL has been excellent.

With high hopes for Broberg’s possible influence, observers and supporters are keen to see if he has made any moves. Edmonton has to win their next games to keep up their momentum, as they are comfortably positioned in second place in the Pacific Division. But they don’t really matter in the standings. Along with Broberg, there’s a chance to rest important players like Darnell Nurse or Mattias Ekholm, and it’s hoped that Kris Knoblauch offers him enough of playing time.Even though three games is a small sample size, Broberg, who is having an excellent season in the AHL, will care about these games. With a strong +9 rating, he has 34 points, 29 assists, and 48 games played. It’s time for the Oilers to make a choice; if they decide he has no future with the team, they may let him go this summer.

Adding Broberg to the roster for the remaining games gives the team an opportunity to evaluate his readiness and maybe take care of any roster issues before to the postseason push as they prepare for the playoffs.
