TRADE DEAL : Oilers NHL trade deadline……………
The 2024 NHL trade deadline is just a few days away, so general managers stepped up and made their finest offers on Wednesday.
Teams that all wanted to win the Stanley Cup announced six trades: the Panthers, Avalanche, Oilers, Golden Knights, and Rangers
The B/R NHL staff gathered together to rate and analyze each move in further detail because there was so much going on.

Whoa! At the trade deadline, the Vegas Golden Knights made a transaction.
You have to recognize that Vegas is following the rules, whether or not you agree with the strategy of using the Golden Knights’ extra cap space to weaponize it after Mark Stone’s lacerated spleen injury caused him to go on the injured list. It is not their fault that previous clubs have continued to take advantage of the LTIR cap loophole.
Vegas has never placed much value on draft picks, so it makes perfect sense to act now, when the chances of winning the Cup are high.
The sole issue with the agreement is that Hanifin and Vegas have not yet reached an extension. That’s a question for another time, though. Vegas is currently a serious contender in the West because to their acquisition of Hanifin and Anthony Mantha at the deadline.
