We have some recruiting news to discuss with just a few days until Michigan’s spring game: a Miami commit visited Michigan this past weekend, a top-200 tight end included Michigan in his top eight, and a Michigan commit scheduled two more visits.
Miami LB commit elaborates on his visit to Michigan
For some time now, Miami has been interested in 2025 four-star linebacker Elijah Melendez, who committed to the university in December. This past weekend’s visit by Melendez to Michigan was a significant development.
Speaking about that meeting with EJ Holland ($), of The Wolverine, Melendez gave Michigan’s strength and conditioning program some props.
“Everything was excellent,” Melendez remarked. “I gained a lot of knowledge about the program and things I was unaware of.” I had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time with all of the staff coaches and players. I got to watch practice as well. The campus was exquisite. Ann Arbor was wonderful to me. The program for strength and conditioning is fantastic. Both Justin Tress, the coach, and Abigail O’Connor, the dietitian, perform admirably. It’s incredible how that building functions and how everything is laid up. Everything is business.
