TRADE DEAL : Patriots NFL trade deadline……………

The 2-6 New England Patriots’ season-long prospects remained grim as they turned out to be neither buyers nor sellers at the NFL’s trade deadline, even though their immediate outlook improved slightly on Tuesday.

The Patriots ultimately made no transactions, despite a flurry of rumors indicating they received calls about linebacker Josh Uche and running back Ezekiel Elliott, and inquired about the availability of Washington Commanders pass-rusher Chase Young. According to a report, they had no interest in moving Mac Jones, a third-year quarterback who was regressing.
According to reports, the Pats were also willing to give up offensive tackle Michael Onwenu and safety Kyle Dugger in exchange for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. None of the agreements came to pass.

In summary, the Pats are happy with their current situation. There were no treats or tricks this Halloween.
With the lowest record in the AFC and key losses to players on both sides of the ball (Christian Gonzalez and Matthew Judon on defense, and Kendrick Bourne on offense), they added no depth to the roster before playing the Indianapolis Colts and Commanders, two 3-5 teams.

After experiencing its worst season since 2000, there was speculation that New England was looking to transfer assets in exchange for future draft picks. However, it didn’t change and is presently slated to pick fifth overall in the NFL Draft in April of next year.

However, the Commanders’ prospects of defeating Washington on Sunday at home did improve when they sent away their two top pass-rushers after the trade deadline. In a mini-fire sale, Washington dealt 2020 No. 2 overall draft pick Chase Young to the San Francisco 49ers and then dealt Montez Sweat to the Chicago Bears.
