The New York Giants will definitely consider some proposals, if not make a concerted effort to trade for a veteran player or two. The Giants will probably be forced to transfer at least one veteran deal in order to make room for them to survive the season because they only have $508,000 in cap space. Let’s examine what the Giants could and could not experience by Tuesday night.

Cornerbacks Deonte Banks and Cor’Dale Flott, both 22 years old, are already playing a full-time role for the Giants. It might make sense to preserve the cap space and acquire what they can for Jackson now, given their current situation and the possibility that they won’t give Jackson a large contract given that Banks is now without a doubt their top cornerback. Additionally, it would give rookie Tre Hawkins III more playing time.
